Barbara McMeekin

Barb has been with Boenning & Scattergood since 2017.  Beginning at an early age with PNC in their investment department Barb has subsequently held roles with other financial services firms in the greater Philadelphia market over the years.

Shortly after her journey began, she chose to take time away from her professional career to be a stay at home mom, time that she will treasure forever. Barb made her 3 daughters; Kerry, Tara and Tracey her priority.

One of the favorite aspects of her role at Boenning, is the joy of meeting new people and listening to their stories.  She is fascinated by their experiences and always learns something from each of those stories. Working with clients is a strength of hers. Customer service is a way of life for Barb, she has invested her entire career devoted to the people business.  In listening to clients, she learns about their life situations as well as their wants and needs.  Many times, Barb has found herself “in their shoes” which allows her the opportunity to empathize with them.  Striving for client solutions is at the heart of each client touch point.

She values her leisure time in numerous ways.  As much as she enjoys planned travel,  Barb loves impromptu road trips with family and friends.  There is always adventure on the horizon whether an undiscovered destination or the cuisine offered by a new restaurant. When closer to home she enjoys reading, playing all types of games, and watching movies and sports.  If she is out and about, her favorite activities include listening to all types of music occasionally as a concert goer, taking long walks and being in nature especially around animals.
